A Blockchain–based NFC Tagging Platform

This Singapore-based platform is a blockchain-powered NFC tagging solution for the clothing industry, using the Physical Backed Token (PBT) standard to verify authenticity and combat counterfeiting. Proudly developed by Nuxify, we designed and built the platform end-to-end—from wireframes and mockups to smart contracts managing the PBT lifecycle, APIs linking physical tags to digital identities, and full-stack web and mobile applications that allow brands and consumers to verify and manage their products seamlessly.

The Challenge

The global clothing industry faces a multi-billion dollar counterfeit problem that erodes brand value and misleads consumers. Traditional labels and QR codes are easily replicated, making it difficult for high-end brands to guarantee the authenticity of their products once they leave the store. There is a critical need for a tamper-proof link between a physical item and its digital identity to ensure that ownership and origin can be verified with 100% certainty.

The Solution

Nuxify developed a comprehensive end-to-end platform that utilizes NFC tagging and the Physical Backed Token (PBT) standard to create an unforgeable digital twin for every garment. We engineered the smart contracts that govern the lifecycle of these tokens, ensuring that the digital identity moves in tandem with the physical item. Our team built the full-stack web and mobile applications that allow consumers to simply tap their phone against a product to instantly verify its authenticity on the blockchain. By linking physical hardware with secure digital ledgers, we provided brands with a powerful tool to combat fraud and gave consumers total peace of mind in their purchases.
