A major highlight of this engagement was rescuing the client from a slow, legacy mobile setup; our team completely modernized their existing mobile app by rebuilding it on a modern framework (Flutter). While Moodle was the perfect open-source choice to keep costs down, its out-of-the-box mobile application is built on older technology that often feels sluggish, looks generic, and struggles with smooth performance. The business faced a difficult dilemma: they wanted the massive cost-efficiency of a self-hosted Moodle web platform, but they could not afford to compromise on a high-quality, professional mobile experience for their users. They needed a partner who could customize the complex backend, host it securely, and completely fix the mobile app's performance issues under a strict timeline.

The Solution

Nuxify engineered a unified ecosystem that balanced enterprise-grade backend power with a premium user experience. We deployed the Moodle platform on a secure, self-hosted cloud server network, optimizing it to handle heavy traffic spikes smoothly and safeguarding it against digital threats. To solve the mobile performance bottleneck, our team took a bold approach: rather than trying to patch the outdated, slow mobile framework the platform came with, we completely ported and rebuilt the mobile application using Flutter. This engineering pivot allowed us to retain 100% of the platform's core features while delivering a fast, responsive, and visually polished app on both Google Play and the Apple App Store. Finally, to ensure a seamless transition, we conducted a comprehensive three-day workshop to train the client's internal managers on how to run the system effortlessly.
